The decrease of the number of child home care allowance recipients continues
In April–June, the number of families receiving child home care allowance decreased by 6 per cent in comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year in the Helsinki region. The growth rate accelerated slightly from the previous quarter. In all of Finland, the number of assistance recipients decreased by 7 per cent, which means the decrease was more significant in elsewhere in Finland than in the Helsinki region.
In April–June, the number of child home care allowance recipients decreased in the KUUMA municipalities as well as in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The number of families receiving child home care allowance was approximately 8,200 in Helsinki, 4,100 in Espoo, 3,400 in Vantaa, 4,000 in the KUUMA municipalities and 61,700 in all of Finland.
